HELP!

So I started this post at 8:00 this morning, it is now almost 10:00 pm.

Ryan and I both received new callings at church. Me as the 2nd counselor in primary and Ryan as the new Bishop. I wore all black. ;) I am already overwhelmed. Ryan is supposed to be gone everyday this week except Friday and maybe Saturday, unless some emergency pops up. But I am sure blessings will come from it and besides it is what the Lord wants us to do right now and who am I to argue with the Lord. It was really neat to see him set apart and to feel the spirit in that room. I will just have to remember that feeling when I am putting the kids to bed by myself everynight. He will do great and everything will be fine I am sure. Just positive stuff from here on. :) Click on the links if you have questions about what I am talking about here.

Wow! That is terrific! I LOL at the wearing all black comment. What a blessing to your ward and your family. I'm sure it will all be great! He'll be a fantastic bishop and you'll be a great B.W. :)

Re: Primary. You know me, I don't think there is any better place to serve in the church, I'm on my 13th solid year. (That makes me sound really really old!) www.sugardoodle.net is a great resource.

Keep us posted and I'm sure you'll all be blessed in many ways. ((hug))

Good luck with the new callings! I thought for sure the Bishop's wife would have the easiest calling... I can sympathize with not have a husband around. Between Dave's job and his calling (Elders Quorum President) He is not home a lot and bed time is the hardest... then is where the blessings come in handy! You are a very understanding person, you will do great! Just hang in there!

Hi Karen - what a neat experience for your family. I just noticed your blog on Andrea's facebook comment and wanted to say hi. Congratulations with the baby. Sorry I missed out on telling you earlier. I wish you and your husband well in your new callings.

How wonderful for your family - I think he'll be a great bishop! You both have so much to offer - I'm really excited for you. Although I must say, I had to laugh at you wearing all black! Primary is such a fun, happy place (okay, at least most of the time) - at least you're not dealing with teenage tears and hormones like in YW.

I'd love to hear how it's going.

D'oh ... I know this happened a couple months ago, but I thought it was great when I heard it. Ryan will do great as a Bishop. That's a lot of work, and a load for you too, Karen, but I'm sure you'll both do great!
